Synthetic Ester Insulating Oil for Transformers

Transformer oil serves as a crucial insulating and heatdissipating medium for transformers in power transmission and transformation projects, playing a vital role in the safe operation of substations. Consequently, the fundamental functional requirements for transformer oil include effective insulation and heat dissipation, with high withstand voltage and low dielectric loss being essential electrical performance criteria. As highvoltage power transmission technology advances, transformer oils must exhibit excellent oxidation stability, thermal stability, and resistance to gas precipitation to meet the demands of highvoltage environments. Additionally, the presence of trace water and particulate impurities has become a critical parameter for control.

Product Details:Synthetic Ester Insulating Oil for Transformers

In the charged operation of a transformer, heat is generated due to "copper consumption" and "core loss." If this heat is not adequately expelled, it will accumulate, increasing the internal temperature of the iron core. This can damage the solid insulation surrounding the coil, leading to coil burnout. By using transformer oil, the heat produced inside the coil is first absorbed by the oil. The oil then circulates to dissipate this heat, ensuring the safe operation of the transformer equipment.

1. Applicable Industry

Drilling equipment: Transformer oil acts as a lubricant that lessens friction and wear, while keeping equipment stable in elevated temperature environments.

Oilfield Electrical Equipment: In the realm of oilfield electrical gear, transformer oil provides necessary insulation and cooling, ensuring reliable operation in severe conditions.

Electric Locomotives: Transformer oil is integral to the electrical systems of electric locomotives, providing insulation, ensuring safe electric current flow, and helping to manage heat.

Signal Systems: In railroad signaling equipment, transformer oil is utilized for insulation, which is essential for the efficiency and safety of the signaling infrastructure.

2. Oil Change Inspection

To make informed decisions regarding a transformer, one must consider its operational condition and historical performance data. If the transformer has faced numerous failures or shows signs of degraded performance, checking the oil quality and contemplating a replacement is advisable. Moreover, the design life and age of the transformer should also be factored in. If the transformer is approaching or has surpassed its expected lifespan, it may be necessary to change the transformer oil to guarantee its continued safe operation.
