Insulating Oil Types,Transformer Oil,Synthetic Transformer Oil

Generally, insulating oil is designed to perform three main functions: insulation, cooling through heat dissipation, and arc extinguishing. The reliability of electrical devices like transformers, reactors, and oilfilled switches heavily relies on these core attributes of the insulating oil. In transformers, reactors, and inductors, the oil primarily provides insulation and cooling effects. In cases where an arc occurs within these devices, the oil also plays a critical role in extinguishing it. In oilfilled casings, its primary function is insulation, while in oil switches, it is crucial for both extinguishing arcs and ensuring insulation.
Product Details:Low-Temperature Insulating Oil for Extreme Conditions
Insulating oil, commonly known as liquid insulating medium or dielectric fluid, is a fluid that segregates conductors with differing potentials. By occupying spaces within or separating solid material poles, it upgrades dielectric qualities and enhances heat dissipation efficiency in electrical equipment. As a crucial insulating element, understanding its appropriate usage and maintenance is paramount to preserving equipment operation and security.

1. Applicable Industry
High-voltage transformers: Transformer oil serves as an insulating agent, effectively preventing arcing and short circuits, while ensuring dependable insulation protection under high voltage conditions.
Distribution transformers: In low-voltage distribution networks, transformer oil plays a crucial role in heat dissipation, maintaining equipment within safe temperature limits and guaranteeing a stable power supply.
Generators: Transformer oils are essential for insulating and cooling generators, which helps to reduce internal temperatures, enhancing both efficiency and the lifespan of the equipment.
Steam Turbines: Within the electrical systems of steam turbines, transformer oil provides necessary insulation, ensuring the equipment operates safely under high temperature and pressure conditions.
2. Environmental Friendliness of Transformer Oil
Biodegradability: Traditional transformer oils are primarily derived from petroleum and exhibit low biodegradability. These oils may take many years to decompose completely in the environment, resulting in prolonged pollution of soil and water. In contrast, newer vegetable-based transformer oils, such as those made from soybean and canola, are highly biodegradable and can typically break down within a few months. Additionally, synthetic oils like ester oils demonstrate good environmental performance and can also be naturally degraded in a relatively short timeframe.
