Fire-Resistant Electrical Insulation Fluid
According to the different composition, electrical insulating oil can be divided into mineral insulating oil and synthetic insulating oil. Mineral insulating oil is refined from petroleum liquid insulating materials. Synthetic oil for cable mainly dodecylbenzene (for selfcapacitating oilfilled cable), polybutene (for steel pipe oilfilled cable) and a small number of flame retardant cable with silicone oil. At present, mineral insulating oil is still dominant, so often said electrical insulating oil usually refers to mineral insulating oil.
Product Details:Fire-Resistant Electrical Insulation Fluid
In electrical equipment, transformer oil can be different potential (potential) of the charged part of the isolation, so that it does not form a short, road. Because the dielectric constant of air is 1.0, while the dielectric constant of transformer oil is 2.25. That is to say, the insulating strength of oil is much greater than that of air. Hypothetically, a coil of transformer oil exposed to air will quickly be punctured when running. If the transformer coils are filled with transformer oil between them, the insulating strength is increased, they will not be punctured, and as the quality of the oil improves, the greater the safety factor of the equipment.

1. Electrical Performance Testing
The Dielectric Efficiency Factor reflects the amount of energy dissipated by transformer oil under electric field conditions, facilitating an understanding of the oil's electrical health and potential issues such as contamination or aging.
The Dielectric Strength evaluation determines the transformer oil's threshold for electrical stress tolerance. A low dielectric strength could signify increased likelihood of electrical breakdown, affecting equipment performance.
The Specific Resistance measurement ensures transformer oil's conductivity remains within acceptable limits, a prerequisite for uninterrupted power equipment operation.
2. Market Challenges
The volatility in crude oil prices has a profound effect on the transformer oil market's landscape. According to the International Energy Agency's figures, the average crude oil price was USD73.6 per barrel in October 2018, but this escalated to over USD100 per barrel in the first half of 2022. The unpredictable nature of these oil price fluctuations can upset the oil and gas industry, posing investment risks for the global transformer oil market, which relies substantially on naphthenic and paraffinic mineral oils for transformer use. Consequently, the transformer oil market is poised to encounter challenges during the forecast period due to the instability in crude oil prices.
