Fire-Resistant PCB Free Transformer Oil for Enhanced Safety
In the context of switchgear, transformer oil mainly functions as an arc extinguishing agent. When an oilimmersed switch interrupts a power load, an arc is formed between the fixed and sliding contacts. The temperature of this arc can soar, posing a risk of equipment burnout and potentially causing damaging overvoltage conditions. During the initial phases of opening and closing the oilimmersed switch, the extreme heat from the arc results in rapid thermal decomposition of the oil, generating around 70% hydrogen. Hydrogen, having a high thermal conductivity (41), can absorb a substantial amount of heat, transferring it to the oil and cooling the contacts, thereby facilitating the extinguishing of the arc.
Product Details:Fire-Resistant Transformer Oil for Enhanced Safety
Identified as liquid insulating material or insulating liquid, insulating oil performs the crucial function of electrically segregating conductors of different voltage potentials. By occupying the spaces within or separating the poles of solid materials, it elevates dielectric properties and improves heat dissipation efficiency in electrical devices. As a fundamental insulating element, proficient knowledge of its application and maintenance is essential for maintaining the operational integrity and safety of electrical systems.
