Dielectric Fluid Solutions
In the realm of electrical equipment, insulating oil can be oxidized over time by heat and oxygen when subjected to an electric field. Oils fortified with antioxidants and metal passivators show enhanced oxidative stability. It is generally expected that the dielectric loss of transformer oil at 90℃ remains under 0.5%. This dielectric loss serves as an indicator of the oil’s performance in an AC electric field, often expressed as the tangent of the dielectric loss angle (δ). Naphthenic oil is favored for electrical appliance oils due to its low pour point, good fluidity at low temperatures, and excellent electrical and thermal characteristics.
Product Details:Dielectric Fluid Solutions
Insulating oils possess a comprehensive set of advantages, including high dielectric capability, elevated flash points, low viscosity levels, freedom from organic acids, alkalis, and sulfur corrosion, effective prevention of emulsification, minimal residue formation during regular use, rapid settling of arc byproducts, and a low pour point. These qualities render them ideally suited for their vital insulating and cooling roles in electrical installations.

1. Factors Affecting Service Life
Transformer Load: High loads on a transformer over extended periods can lead to faster oil aging, resulting in a shorter operational life. Therefore, careful control of the transformer load is essential for prolonging the oil's lifespan.
Oil Quality: The longevity of transformer oil is significantly influenced by its quality. Highquality oil offers better thermal stability and resistance to aging, which can extend its service life. On the other hand, lowquality oil may degrade rapidly, resulting in a shorter lifespan.
2. Oil Change Inspection
Chromatography: Chromatography allows for the detection of dissolved gases in the oil, such as hydrogen, methane, and ethane. The presence of these gases may indicate the presence of overheating, discharge or other abnormalities within the transformer, and may also indicate aging or contamination of the oil.
Standards and Specifications: Refer to national or industry standards for transformer oil quality. If test results fall below these standards, transformer oil replacement may be required.
