Bio-Based Insulating Oil For Eco-Friendly Transformers

Transformer oil is a man-made mineral oil, which is produced from natural petroleum through a series of distillation as well as refining. The important chemical composition of transformer oil is naphthenic hydrocarbon, accounting for about 80% of all components, the rest of the components are mostly aromatic hydrocarbons and alkanes. The physical properties of transformer oil are relatively stable, its relative density is 0.895, the freezing point is generally less than 45 ℃, and the flash point is not less than 136 ℃.
Product Details:Bio-Based Insulating Oil for Eco-Friendly Transformers
Crafted for durability, our transformer oil remains chemically stable even in the face of high temperatures and oxidizing environments, resisting oxidation and decomposition, thereby preserving its performance over time. Moreover, the precise formulation with antioxidants enhances its chemical stability, facilitating superior insulation, cooling, and machine safeguarding, yielding impressive results.

1. Transformer Oil Service Life
Typically, the interval for changing transformer oil ranges from 5 to 10 years. However, it is important to understand that this is merely a general guideline, and the actual replacement schedule should be evaluated based on the specific circumstances of the transformer.
In conclusion, the lifespan of transformer oil is a multifaceted issue affected by several factors. To ensure the transformer operates smoothly and to extend its lifespan, it is advisable to regularly inspect and assess the transformer oil, replacing it as needed according to the actual conditions.
2. Factors Affecting Service Life
Transformer Load: When a transformer operates under heavy load for extended periods, the oil can age more quickly, leading to a reduced lifespan. Thus, effectively managing the transformer load is crucial for prolonging the oil's longevity.
Oil Quality: The quality of transformer oil significantly influences its lifespan. High-quality oil offers superior thermal stability and resistance to aging, which helps extend its service life. In contrast, lower-quality oil tends to age rapidly, resulting in a shorter lifespan.
