Overseas orders for ultra-high voltage insulation oil surge: China's technical standards lead the world
With the deepening of the "the Belt and Road" initiative, the influence of China's UHV technology in the international market is expanding, and the supporting UHV insulating oil has also welcomed the surge of overseas orders. Recently, Yanshan Petrochemical received an order for 40 tons of special transformer oil to the Middle East, which will be used for the construction of local ± 800kV converter stations. The achievement of this order once again demonstrates the technical strength and market competitiveness of China's ultra-high voltage insulation oil.
The special transformer oil exported this time has undergone strict testing and certification, and has successfully passed the internationally renowned KEMA laboratory certification. In terms of key performance indicators, the product performs excellently, with a gas evolution rate of ≤+10 μ L/min (according to IEC 60628 standard), which is more than 50% better than the industry average. This excellent performance indicator ensures that the transformer can maintain stable insulation performance in high voltage and high current operating environments, effectively reducing the risk of equipment failure.
In order to adapt to the extreme climate conditions in the Middle East, this special transformer oil adopts advanced nano dispersion technology. Through this technology, the particle pollution level of the product has been effectively controlled, with a concentration of ≤ 5000 particles/mL (in accordance with ISO 4406:2021 standard), and can maintain good performance under extreme working conditions such as high temperature in the desert (temperature>50 ℃) and high humidity along the coast (humidity>90%). In a desert substation project in Saudi Arabia, the transformer oil has been tested under high summer temperatures and operates stably, receiving high praise from the customer.
The reason why Chinese ultra-high voltage insulation oil is favored in the international market is not only due to its excellent product performance, but also due to the increasing recognition of Chinese ultra-high voltage technical standards internationally. In recent years, China has actively participated in the standard setting work of international organizations such as the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), integrating China's practical experience and research achievements in ultra-high voltage technology into international standards, and promoting the development of global ultra-high voltage technology.
At present, emerging market countries such as India and Brazil are vigorously promoting power grid upgrading and renovation projects, and the demand for ultra-high voltage insulation oil is increasing day by day. According to industry forecasts, the annual procurement volume of China's ultra-high voltage insulation oil from these emerging markets is expected to increase by over 18%. Chinese companies such as Yanshan Petrochemical will seize this market opportunity, continuously improve product quality and technological level, expand production scale, and meet the needs of the international market.
The surge in overseas orders for China's ultra-high voltage insulation oil has not only brought considerable economic benefits to enterprises, but also promoted the dissemination and application of Chinese technical standards worldwide. In the future, with the continuous innovation and development of China's ultra-high voltage technology, Chinese ultra-high voltage insulation oil is expected to occupy a larger share in the international market, leading the development trend of the global ultra-high voltage insulation oil industry.
