2. Comparison of Thermal Oil and Water
Temperature range：The temperature range applicable to heat transfer oil is extensive, enabling it to operate from - 40℃ to 350℃ or even higher. Meanwhile, under normal atmospheric pressure, water is generally used in the temperature range from 0℃ to 100℃. If one desires to increase the temperature of water, it must be placed in a high - pressure environment.
Density：As a general rule, the density of heat transfer oil is less than that of water. The density of different types of heat transfer oil varies, typically falling in the range of 0.8 - 0.95g/cm³, while the density of water is 1g/cm³.
