As of August 4, three batches of converter transformer oil products produced by Karamay Petrochemical Company that meet the latest international standards have been used abroad in Brazil, Pakistan and other "the Belt and Road" countries, and in Beijing Zhangjiakou (Beijing Zhangjiakou) high-voltage DC transmission projects at home.

The converter transformer oil used this time is an oil product upgraded in advance by Ke Petrochemical Company based on market demand and utilizing technical reserves.

According to Yin Hong, Deputy Director of the Technology Department of Ke Petrochemical Company, China's high-voltage direct current transmission technology is the most advanced internationally. When exporting this technology, the foreign party requires that the transformer oil used in conjunction with it must comply with the latest transformer oil quality standards of the International Electrotechnical Organization. At the same time, the Beijing Zhangjiakou transmission project, which adopts high-voltage direct current transmission technology domestically, has also raised the quality requirements for transformer oil. After obtaining the quality information of these products at the end of 2018, Ke Petrochemical Company seized the market demand and upgraded some transformer oil products in advance.

In February of this year, Ke Petrochemical Company completed the supply of transformer oil products through technological upgrades, starting at a scale of 3000 tons per batch.

Originally, Ke Petrochemical Company planned to comprehensively upgrade all transformer oils by the end of 2019. This early upgrade of converter transformer oils, although the time was a bit rushed, still had sufficient technical reserves, "Yin Hong introduced.

It is reported that as early as 2015, the research department of Ke Petrochemical Company had started joint research with lubricant companies to upgrade the quality of transformer oil products. In 2017, they completed quality upgrade plans for different types of transformer oil and organized trial production. Yin Hong stated that in the coming period, Ke Petrochemical Company will not only continue to explore the domestic market, but also set its sights on the international market.
