Project Background:

With the increasing demand for electricity in Gansu Province, a key 330Kv substation in Lanzhou City, as an important hub for regional power supply, has become a focus of attention for the power sector in terms of operational stability and safety. Considering the transformer as the core equipment of the substation, the quality of its internal insulating oil is directly related to the operational efficiency and life of the equipment, Hai Koon Petrochemicals was invited to undertake the transformer oil replacement and upgrading project of this substation, aiming to improve the overall operational efficiency of the substation through advanced oil treatment technology and high quality transformer oil products.

Project Content:

Conduct oil sampling and testing on the existing transformers to assess the aging and contamination of the oil.

Design and implement a comprehensive transformer oil replacement program, including key steps such as old oil discharge, equipment cleaning, new oil injection and vacuum degassing.

Selected high-quality transformer oil independently developed by Hai Koon Petrochemical to ensure that the oil has good insulating, cooling and anti-oxidizing properties.

Carry out oil system commissioning and performance testing to ensure that the new oil system operates stably and meets the design requirements.

Provide later oil maintenance advice and technical support to ensure the long-term stable operation of the transformer.

Project Implementation Process:

Preparation: A professional project team was formed to investigate the site and develop a detailed construction program and safety plan.

Oil testing: Oil samples were taken from the transformers in the substation and sent to Hai Koon Petrochemical laboratory for comprehensive testing and analysis.

Program development: Based on the test results, a detailed oil replacement and upgrading program was developed and approved by the power department.

On-site construction: In accordance with the established program, the old oil discharge, equipment cleaning, new oil injection and vacuum degassing are carried out in an orderly manner to ensure that each step of the operation complies with the specifications.

Performance test: After the replacement is completed, the oil system performance test is carried out, including insulation resistance, dielectric loss and other key indexes, to ensure that the performance of the new oil system meets the standard.

Acceptance and delivery: Invite the power department and third-party testing organizations to conduct on-site acceptance, and formally deliver the project after passing the inspection.
