Significant breakthroughs have been made in the research and development of new environmentally friendly transformer oil, which is expected to lead industry transformation
The research team has made key progress in the development of new environmentally friendly transformer oil, bringing new hope for the green development of the transformer oil industry. The newly developed bio based transformer oil has excellent environmental and electrical performance, and is expected to change the industry landscape.
The new generation of plant insulation oil developed by the plant insulation oil technology research team of China Electric Power Research Institute has successfully passed 13 type tests including oxidation stability. The natural degradation rate of this plant insulating oil is as high as 97% in 28 days. Under the same conditions, each ton of plant oil can reduce about 1.1 tons of carbon dioxide emissions compared to mineral oil, effectively solving the problem of difficult recycling and high environmental pollution risk of traditional mineral insulating oil.
Biobased transformer oil exhibits excellent performance in key aspects such as electrical insulation and heat dissipation, and can meet the operational needs of various types of transformers. Compared with traditional mineral insulating oil, it can effectively extend the service life of transformers and reduce maintenance costs. For example, in some pilot applications, transformers using bio based transformer oil have significantly reduced the thermal aging rate of their insulation paper and prolonged the service life of the equipment.
With the increasingly strict global environmental regulations, the environmental performance requirements for transformer oil are constantly increasing. This type of environmentally friendly transformer oil conforms to the trend of sustainable development and is expected to quickly occupy the market in the coming years, leading the transformer oil industry towards a green and environmentally friendly direction. Enterprises and research institutions are also increasing their investment in the research and development of environmentally friendly transformer oil, promoting the continuous improvement and maturity of related technologies, reducing production costs, and improving product performance to meet the market's demand for environmentally friendly and high-performance transformer oil.
