The first domestically produced 110 kV synthetic ester insulated oil transformer in China has been successfully developed
On May 15th, China's first independently controllable domestically produced 110 kV synthetic ester insulating oil transformer successfully passed all type tests, marking significant progress in the field of high-end environmentally friendly electrical materials and equipment technology in China, and mastering the core technology of high-performance synthetic ester insulating oil mass production and transformer manufacturing with independent intellectual property rights.
This project is led by the Electric Power Science Research Institute of Guangdong Power Grid Corporation. The transformer has the characteristics of good high-temperature stability, low fire risk, low life cycle cost, and strong overload capacity. Compared with traditional 110 kV mineral oil transformers, it is safer and more environmentally friendly, with strong operational stability and better adaptability to complex environments.
It is understood that as a key material in power transformers, the performance of insulating oil directly affects the safety, environmental protection, and operational efficiency of transformers. Traditional oil immersed transformers usually use mineral oil as the insulation medium, which has the disadvantages of being flammable, difficult to degrade, and prone to generating hazardous waste. Synthetic ester insulating oil has the advantages of high safety, low carbon emissions, biodegradability, and high stability, which can effectively avoid flammable and explosive risks, reduce environmental pollution, and conform to the current development trend of green and low-carbon energy transformation. The research team conducted research on the core technologies of molecular design, performance regulation, preparation process, transformer insulation design, and precise molding process of insulation components for synthetic ester insulating oil. Eventually, they mastered the complete set of technologies for mass production of high-performance synthetic ester insulating oil and manufacturing of transformers with independent intellectual property rights.
